The linoleum floor is sticky, so you can't move around as quickly as usual.

The human notices you, lets out a scream and hurls the handkerchief with you away. You feel dizzy as you are thrown through the air. After the handkerchief has hit the ground, you jump out a little dazed and scurry under the wardrobe as quickly as you can.

You crawl along the inside of the bed and let yourself fall through the slatted frame to the floor.
While the human up there is still rummaging around and pulling the heavy mattress off the bed, you have long since withdrawn under the wardrobe into your nest.

A stinging pain and you lose a leg ... then a second ... at some point your torso lies without legs and you are still alive. Until the mites tamper with your eyes and bite their tongs into your brain.
